Imagic was known for releasing innovative games and Dragonfire is arguably the best one of all. The Atari 2600 version became a huge hit, and while the Intellivision version improved upon it, it was the Colecovision version that took the visuals and gameplay to new heights.

In Dragonfire you take on the role of a thief whose out to steal the treasures that are being closely guarded by the dragon. You'll have to make your way across the castle drawbridge while avoiding the dragon's fire breath as well as the archer that's firing arrows down at you. Once inside the dungeon, you'll have to run around gathering up all of the treasures and escape out of the door before you're burned by the dragon's fire. As you progress further into the game, the action becomes more intense and challenging and the number of dangers increase.

The Colecovision version of the game features astounding visuals and realistic sound effects. You can even see water ripples around the brickword in the moat. The gameplay is also top notch and extremely responsive which will come in handy for maneuvering the many dangers found throughout each and every level. You can even play the higher difficultys which add the archer's arrows and a moving drawbridge.

Dragonfire is one of the best Colecovision games available for the system and stands as one of Imagic's best efforts. If you love fast and furious action, this game belongs in your Colecovision game library.
